In the midst of a great pain, I found my way back to health

Some teachers will tell you this heals trauma. This is true.

It’s your animal nature to lie close to another -- to hear your breath, feel your warmth,

to connect with love.

Begin with yourself. Feel your warmth. 

Hold your own heart, the great balancer and connector with your fluidity.

Give yourself time, as long as you need.

Give up all ideas on how to surrender.

What's next may not be visible until you exhaust all choices.

Wait. You will let go.

Healing: A Deeper Change Within

We are all a part of this revolution calling for a deeper change withinour inner and outer worlds.

Black and white thinking is being cleansed, transforming our minds and our bodypsyches as each one of us redefines freedom.

Healing is always available when you follow your own way.

Over these past few weeks of outer unrest, I've stepped into an open space that's boundless.


This shift of states illustrates a deeper release from right or wrong.  I am ready for this polarity to no longer rule my life. Each time I label my experiences as good or bad a part of me remains conditioned by the approval of family, others and world values.

How do I describe my own healing experiences from a detached point of view? I have mindfully observed my own body gradually loose the ability to walk after a concussion that triggered multiple sclerosis. It's been important for me to be neutral living with an autoimmune condition: neither reinforcing difficult moments or building up false hope.

After 18 years of consistent alternative healing practices I am now experiencing a neurological shift. My greatest desire is to walk outside spontaneously when the sun beams through the window. Memories of walking unencumbered are still alive within my body. As they have been waking up I've been thinking....

What is freedom?

Freedom is the unequivocal release from any and all experiences, events, occurrences that have defined who you are and what you believe. It's the journey of being present to observe freedom from the past in each moment. In the present freedom is open space, boundless freedom to move, behave, respond, speak, think from your own inner authority.

Healing is where freedom lives. Within a healing session I witnessed a force so strong it clearly was an expression of embodiment.

  • Is this state about perfect physical alignment?
  • Is it about being released from pain, sadness or depression?
  • Or is it about listening and hearing your own truth?

I believe it's about being witnessed as you are. Acceptance is the ground that is all inclusive.  It is here the force you’ve been seeking is present in and throughout your energy, your aliveness, and health.

This living force is centered in the radiant truth of self.

By "letting go" of the belief that something is wrong you will be set free when you least expect it. A greater part of yourself hears the call often silenced by the mind's self control and the body's self protection.

What you are seeking is calling you home.

Be open, be as free as you are with all of your humanity. Allow yourself time each day to go quiet. Enter the space of your own light. Freedom awaits you.

lessons learned from a headache

Waking up in pain zaps the possibilities of enjoying a light filled summer day. Dragging under pressure, I decided to get moving, hydrate well, and start my day with a green smoothie.  

THE headache was escalating instead of retreating. CA-LUNck. My cranial bones were stuck. Dull aching behind my eyes is a classic cranial misalignment symptom. Breathing fresh air helped.  Magnesium offered some support. As my usual sparkle continued to be replaced with an unresponsive stare, I scheduled my CS session.

Waiting for full relief was another story. I drank more water before I motored the Zero Gravity chair into the flow state position.

Being horizontal for 30 minutes taught me this:

  • when your back is supported in the aquatic position, your bones dance - because they have more natural mobility
  • reducing gravitational pull, relaxes all the bigger outer muscles as well as the deeper muscles in your core
  • your nervous system enters a calm deeply restorative flow state- reminiscent of the womb
  • fluid nourishment circulates to your brain
  • mental alertness replaces the anxiety that accompanies pain in 30 minutes
  • combined with CranioSacral, the path to a peaceful you is revealed

Pain or dysfunction occurs when the optimal flow of messages throughout the nervous system gets compromised through stress, injury or trauma. When you experience pain, there is a contraction closing the body. Under stress, the body loses access to what you already know. CranioSacral gently suggests to the body how to soften and open to new information through subtle movement.

slow down to heal

accept my compassionas my heart listens to yours with passion may your suffering be healed may your heart's compass guide you through the unknown may you find your way into the light within, around, and between us all. Listening is an invitation for something unexpected to emerge. When you slow down to listen, you are opening a door for healing.

Recently I have surrendered to my body's message to nap rather than pushing through to finish the task at hand. Today was one of those unplanned days for resting. What might seem as an ordinary nap can transport me into an extraordinary experience.

You and I are practicing compassion with ourselves each time we honor our inner compass and act with respect.

I'd love to share what I have witnessed in the Sacred Flow sessions this week. One client shifted feeling physically lethargic and mentally sluggish by literally unwinding daily stress. After the Flow she felt peaceful as she transitioned from work to family. She felt prepared to be present for a stressful evening with her child's homework project.

Another client was seeking a new perspective after four years of struggling with her health. She discovered another piece of the puzzle for reconnecting with her passion for writing within the Sacred Flow process.
