Letting Go In Your Body

Letting go in your body is the moment when you open.

The moment when you honor this truth:

All of your life experiences are stored in your body's muscles, tissues, bones, fluids and nervous system.

Right here the very stress, chaos, and tension that weaves together rigid protective armor can let go.

Letting go is a catalyst for letting love in.

Life in your body is not linear.

You experience life in cycles whether they come with illness, age or environmental stress. 

As layers of tension are released, your capacity for more self kindness expands.

When I am in the midst of a health crisis…

my body asks me to be present with this and only this.

Somehow given the choice to keep spiraling or trust your deepest self knowing... 

Keep going. 

Letting go of knowing what, when or why.

Trust grace.

Until you no longer resist the possibility of more pain, worry, or distress.

Unwinding everything your body is carrying is a dance.

Nothing is forced.

Pay Attention To Your Attitude

In August it's time to commune with the sun. Being at the ocean calms me as the tide's moving out. My exhale entrains with gulls swooping down toward the waves. Penetrating golden light is everywhere. My gaze follows the rise and fall of each wave absorbing the sun's healing light flowing into my cells.

The sun calls to me to listen to my body. The small voice within says "Healing is believing in your success."

Often chronic symptoms seem overwhelming. The greatest challenge I've had to overcome has been my own limiting beliefs. When I realized that healing is a practice that freed up energy to be easy on myself and do what I can.

With this reminder I scan my body. I am led to a place in my body where "yes" lives and where "no" lives. Both feel real and true... and I can choose. Being in choice is taking back your power.

Healing does not mean your body will be free from illness. Even when your body is suffering, you have the ability to intend to heal.

You have the strength to let go of what no longer serves you. Give up any habits that keep you bound in fear or worry. Your attitude towards yourself can give you energy for healing and your freedom.

   
   


Your Boundaries Impact Your Health

your boundaries are dynamic as you navigate your daily interactions

Boundaries impact your vitality, health, and healing. Your health and your boundaries reinforce one another with centering. Can you sense when you are "in" or "out" of your body?  When you are stressed out, worried, or anxious-- you are not centered. 
EXERCISE Bring your awareness to yourself and your body. Breathe. What do you notice with your body? Do you feel in or out?

fixing is repairing a broken mechanical object

It's normal to want an annoying symptom to go away and be permanently fixed. Healing is empowering. Begin listening to your body. Re-evaluating your choices and accepting your wholeness is possible.
EXERCISE Can you honor yourself? Can you bring unconditional love and acceptance to your body?

healing is being in relationship with your body

 Craniosacral Therapy provides "an environment for healing" rather than fixing symptoms. When you choose to lean into your symptom you are honoring yourself as you are. 
EXERCISE Right now lean into your present experience welcoming your symptom with kindness. Can you notice a healing environment?

compassion is the positive thoughts and feelings that encourage hope, courage, strength and peace

Developing these elements of compassion creates strong boundaries. 
EXERCISE Reflect on your relationship with yourself. Can you find compassion for your body?

listening to your body’s truth will give you more energy for life

My favorite body healing practice is a body scan for centering. When you are centered you can access the intelligence of your mind, heart and body. 
EXERCISE Begin scanning your body slowly from your head down to your feet. Breathe. What physical sensations do you notice? what emotions arise? what are the quality of your thoughts?
 

   
   


Breathe With Kindness

As the fog lifts breathe deeply letting the light lift your heart.

Be gentle with yourself while you notice your breath rise and rest.

Your breath awakens the moving intelligence within your body.  
 
Notice life unfolding today as kindness. 

   
   


Healing Anxiety

Anxiety mysteriously hides out in the body as physical symptoms.

Sometimes it's fleeting like a bird rising into flight.

Other times it cleverly masquerades in the body as discomfort.

When your mind is foggy, your body might feel foreign, not really painful.

You may be tired of feeling out of sorts from too many sleepless nights.

Getting through each day is challenging.

When fear arises,

when worry arises,

when doubt arise,

tenderly invite them to rest in your heart.

Pay attention to them with kindness. 

Listen to them and ask what they want.

Your presence may be the medicine they seek.

Listening to your heart deepens your connection with your body.

Feel yourself coming into synch with more life energy, better boundaries,

and ever expanding health.
